2010 –
LIPSO files a second patent for strong mobile authentication. LIPSO is chosen by Stationnement de Montréal for
parking meter payment by mobile phone, ALDO for m-Commerce, and others.
2009 –
Recipient of the largest grant from the National Research Council (NRC). LIPSO initiates development of mobile payment platform,
strong mobile authentication platform, as well as native applications development for Smartphones. LIPSO signs with Bell -
Tourism Quebec, Co-Operators Insurance Company, Loto-Quebec, and Société de transport de Laval (STL), among others.
2008 –
LIPSO develops and commercializes LIPSO Publishing and launches complete m-commerce mobile portals for Air Canada, Aéroport Nantes
Atlantique, and various public transport companies, to name a few. LIPSO is nominated by IDC as being among the best in mobile solutions companies.
2007 –
Launch of flight information service with Air Canada, including international SMS connectivity, software platform and WAP/SMS/mail
user interface portal development. Launches pilot of mobile boarding pass service with Air Canada and Aéroports de Montréal.
Expands internationally, into the airline, airport industry segments.
2006 –
Develops and patents the first worldwide mobile bar code generator that optimizes images. Launches the first mobile flight notification
service in North America with Aéroports de Montréal. LIPSO's technology includes SMS connectivity platform and flight notification software platform.
2005 –
Expands international SMS connectivity. The National Research of Council names LIPSO a leader in mobile data technology development, in Canada.
2004 –
LIPSO creates the first mobile payment application for web micro-payments, while expanding SMS connectivity in the USA. Co-founder and president,
Vivianne Gravel, wins "Entrepreneur of the Year" award from Arista, and "Personality of the Year 2004 Award" from OCTAS, presented by the
Fédération de l'informatique du Québec (FIQ).
2003 –
LIPSO launches the first interactive TV mobile showcase in North America. LIPSO was selected by broadcasters and mobile carriers such as TVA
and Rogers, for mobile marketing campaigns, including the popular TV show, Star Academy. CBC and Radio Canada chose LIPSO for their interactive
information services for news, and for the 2004 Olympic games.
2001 –
Develops a software platform with interactive mobile marketing applications. The platform integrates web interfaces, to facilitate mobile
marketing campaigns and integrates, online, real-time statistics.
2000 –
LIPSO is founded in Montreal, Canada. LIPSO develops the first B2B and B2C mobile data technology platform with the goal of bridging the gap
between IP and wireless data networks.
